Dukes Research Scholars

Medicine Programme

Are you a driven 16-18 year old looking for an application to a highly competitive course such as medicine, or Oxbridge biosciences?

On this Medicine DRS you will get to work on the development of cutting edge medical technology and gain a deep understanding of how the physiology of disease, combined with technical innovation, can bring a lifesaving product to market.

This course has been developed by a leading expert in the field, currently engaged in the development of technology to treat brain tumors. His work forms the basis of a case study, around which you’ll be introduced to medical research, the biology of cancer development and the design and testing of novel engineered solutions.

Finally, you will have the opportunity to complete a supervised literature review of the field. You’ll be taught what makes a good literature review, given one to one support through the process leading to final publication on the Dukes Plus website. Ideal for supporting your application to medicine, or other biological sciences courses.
