Business Summer Schools

All our business summer schools are taught by highly experienced teachers – typically they are graduates in Business, Economics, or closely related fields, or have had extensive experience and success in business and entrepreneurship themselves.

Some of our programmes also include opportunities for networking and mentoring with leading entrepreneurs. With 15-25 hours of academic instruction per week, students receive a tour-de-force education in the fundamentals of business.

There’s plenty of opportunity to put your theoretical study into practice on our business summer schools. Interactive workshops and both group and solo projects provide the chance to apply what you’ve learned. Whether it’s designing a business plan for an original company or delivering a product pitch, you’ll get lots of hands-on experience and put your skills to the test.

Immerse yourself in career of a successful entrepreneur. Q&A sessions and networking events with business leaders, or site visits to top start-ups, provide the chance for plenty of insider advice and guidance on developing your own career.

And you’ll have ample opportunity to work on your own business ideas – from developing a business plan to pitching your ideas to a panel of venture capitalists in a ‘Dragon’s Den’ setting.

Our students always rave about the amazing programme of social activities we provide in the evenings. From quizzes to film nights or karaoke, our social programme is the perfect chance to relax after a day’s studying and develop lifelong friendships.

Each of our business summer schools offers a masterclass in vital business skills. In addition to business theory – from financial modelling to digital marketing – you’ll develop the competencies needed to make a great entrepreneur.

Collaboration, leadership, planning, and innovation are all taught through a mix of interactive seminars, hands-on workshops, and challenging projects.

Students have 15-25 hours of lessons per week with expert tutors, guest speakers, and industry professionals, depending on the programme. Teaching takes place in a mixture of seminars, workshops, classroom lessons, and supervised projects.

Throughout our summer schools, students have regular opportunities to strengthen their English language skills – improving their confidence in speaking, writing, and presenting.

Almost all of our business summer schools include exciting and enriching excursions to some of the UK’s top landmarks and cultural attractions. Excursions vary by programme and campus, but may include a tour of Oxford, visits to London, or a day out at Thorpe Park. All students are supervised during their excursions.

The exception is the Young Entrepreneur Summer Experience, which includes site visits to relevant professional locations but not cultural excursions.

Our summer schools include a packed programme of social activities and access to the outstanding facilities on their campus. From indoor sports to football, karaoke to film nights, our social programme is the perfect chance to relax after a day’s work

Accommodation and meals are offered on all our business summer schools.

Students stay in comfortable, modern bedrooms – most children share with a few others in bright and spacious dormitories, while on some campuses older children may have their own room.

Alternatively, if you prefer to attend a summer school as a day student, that’s absolutely fine! Day places include the same academic programme and many of the same activities, with students travelling to and from campus every day.
