Which Course Should I Choose?
Develop your academic English and prepare for studying abroad
English Pathways helps students aged 14–17 develop the language skills needed for academic success in English-speaking environments. Hosted at Dukes Cambridge, the course combines academic reading and writing with debates, public speaking, and creative projects. You’ll learn to express complex ideas, construct persuasive arguments, and communicate more fluently in English.
It’s ideal for students with an intermediate level of English or above who want to improve their academic language skills and prepare for future study in an English-speaking school or university.
Explore global issues while developing your English
Think Global! at Earlscliffe in Kent gives students aged 13–17 the opportunity to improve their English while exploring international affairs, media, and culture. You’ll investigate global challenges, debate current events, and discover how different perspectives shape our understanding of the world. You’ll also research an issue that interests you and create your own documentary.
It’s particularly suited to curious students with a pre-intermediate level of English or above who enjoy discussing current affairs and want to develop their communication skills through engaging academic topics.

English Adventures combines interactive English lessons with an exciting programme of activities for students aged 12–16, hosted at Headington in Oxford. You’ll improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing through games, conversations, and creative projects, with lessons tailored to your ability. Outside the classroom, you’ll enjoy sports, social events, and excursions while practising English with new friends from around the world.

English Adventurers gives students aged 12–16 the opportunity to improve their English while exploring London, with lessons and activities based at Dulwich College. You’ll develop your speaking, listening, reading, and writing through lively discussions and creative projects, using the city’s famous landmarks, museums, and cultural attractions as inspiration for your learning.
It’s ideal for students who want to combine structured English language tuition with discovering London, practising their English through cultural experiences and making international friendships.

Young Explorers is an exciting summer programme for children aged 8–12, hosted at Camp Dragon in Oxford. Children explore subjects ranging from science and history to art, drama, and music through imaginative projects, games, and practical challenges. English is spoken throughout the day, giving them opportunities to develop their language skills naturally while discovering new interests and making friends.
It’s perfect for younger children with an elementary level of English or above who enjoy learning through play and exploration, particularly those experiencing an international residential summer school for the first time.

What’s Included in Our Summer Schools?
Students have 15-25 hours of lessons per week with expert tutors, depending on the programme. All teachers on our English language summer schools are native English speakers. Teaching takes place in a mixture of seminars, workshops, classroom lessons, and supervised projects.
Throughout our summer schools, students have regular opportunities to strengthen their English language skills – improving their confidence in speaking, writing, and presenting. All the key language skills – including writing, reading, listening, and speaking – are covered. Plus, we can cater for a range of abilities in English, from beginners to more advanced students, depending on the summer school you select.
All of our summer schools include exciting and enriching excursions to some of the UK’s top landmarks and cultural attractions. Excursions vary by programme and campus, but may include a tour of Oxford, visits to London, or a day out at Thorpe Park. All students are supervised during their excursions.
Our English language summer schools include a packed programme of social activities and access to the outstanding facilities on their campus. From indoor sports to football, karaoke to film nights, our social programme is the perfect chance to relax after a day’s work.
Accommodation and meals are offered on all our English language summer schools. Students stay in comfortable, modern bedrooms – most children share with a few others in bright and spacious dormitories, while on some campuses older children may have their own room.
