I worked specifically with Charlotte and several others over the course of a year, culminating in a final push. During that final push my scores went up consistently by using material recommended by A-List as well as some incredibly useful sessions. In these sessions Charlotte would lay out the patterns of questions as well as the rules govern them in an incredibly clear manner; it really helped me to understand the seemingly unlimited amounts of rules easily and in such a way that I will remember them in the long run. I mentioned to Charlotte that these sessions would condense 5hrs of time spent using resources online into 1:30hrs, and the notes that we produced together are still incredibly helpful for review in the future; if I need to be reminded about how the Americans are fond of the dreaded comma before an and! A-list helped me hugely with my SAT. Charlotte McKenchie was a great teacher and I really recommend getting her. Before I had any lessons I scored 1190 in my SAT and after having 15 lessons I got 1550 in my SAT. When applying to university I wasn’t sure if I was good enough for the top D1 schools but because of that SAT score it has opened so many new doors to go through. Without her I wouldn’t be able to follow my dream and study at the best university possible to become the best me. Thank you Charlotte for everything! Hope you the best in the near future!

My daughter was pleased with the helps she got from the tutors. Also the administration team was very helpful, especially Maximilian gave us swift responses and was very kind. Kathryn was an amazing UCAT tutor. She’s very knowledgeable but explains things in a way that’s easy to understand, and she was always patient and supportive during our sessions. We had a really positive experience with Duke’s Tutoring and their affiliated school Devonshire Prep. A year ago our son was attending a French bilingual school and had large gaps in his maths knowledge, along with zero exposure to the reading comprehension, writing, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning expectations typical of top UK independent schools. With Duke’s help, we put together a structured plan. He did an intensive summer “boot camp” programme and then spent just one term at Devonshire Prep (an affiliate school of theirs that they recommended) to do the final preparation for his 11+ exams. We were so happy with the results! He received offers from 4 of the 8 schools he applied to — including Habs (where he’ll be starting next year), UCS, and Mill Hill. What impressed me most was how knowledgeable Duke’s tutors are about the entire 11+ process. They clearly understand the roadmap and know how to efficiently help children close gaps quickly and build the skills these exams require. We’re extremely grateful for their support and would happily recommend them to other families navigating the 11+ journey!
