Personal Statement Support

Oxbridge Personal Statement Support Package

Get four reviews of your statement and expert feedback from our Oxbridge-graduate senior consultancy team with this package.

Price: £495

The initial review of our Oxbridge personal statement support package takes place over a 45-minute video call. Students should share a draft of their personal statement in advance, but if they haven’t written one yet, they’re welcome to bring along notes or ideas to discuss instead.

The second review is a 45-minute video call. Students should submit an updated draft beforehand. The senior consultant will focus on identifying any significant changes or additions that could strengthen the statement.

The third review is carried out offline, with feedback given directly through tracked edits and comments on the draft. This stage concentrates on refining the content, style, and overall structure.

The final review of our Oxbridge personal statement support is completed offline, with suggestions shared through tracked edits and comments. This step polishes the draft into its finished form, ensuring it’s ready to submit at its very best.

Case Studies

Every package of personal statement support is unique to each individual student: your interests, your knowledge, and your perspective. Here are two examples of how we helped two students get their statements up to Oxbridge standards.

Priya – History Personal Statement

Priya is applying to study History. She has a solid first draft but isn’t sure how to shape her academic interests into a persuasive personal statement. Here’s how her four rounds of feedback unfolded.

Review One: a 45-minute video call with her consultant. After reading Priya’s draft, her consultant felt it tried to cover too much ground without going deep enough on any one thing. Together they identified her core interests in social history and historiography and rebuilt the statement around those themes. The consultant also pointed out that Priya mentioned several books by name but didn’t really engage with them, so she asked Priya to build out a clear argument around each one.

Review Two: a second 45-minute video call after Priya turned in a revised draft. Now that the structure was solid, the consultant shifted focus to academic tone. They pushed Priya to articulate her own thinking and reasoning, helping her move from simply describing her interests to analysing historical questions. They also reworked the introduction so it centered on a specific historical question instead of a vague general statement.

Review Three: a thorough offline round of tracked changes addressing content, style, and structure. The consultant tightened up wording, cut two weak anecdotes, and strengthened the transitions between paragraphs so the whole piece flowed as one continuous argument. Every edit came with a comment explaining the reasoning behind it.

Review Four: a final offline polish to get the statement ready for submission. With the content locked in, this pass zeroed in on precision and flow – word choice, rhythm, and a strong closing paragraph gesturing toward the kind of historian Priya hoped to become. By the end, she felt confident the statement truly represented her best academic self.

Tomás – Biochemistry Personal Statement

Tomás is applying to study Biochemistry. He has notes and ideas but no draft yet. Here’s how his four rounds of feedback unfolded.

Review One: a 45-minute video session where his consultant helps Tomás turn scattered notes into a plan. They identified his main interest in the molecular basis of disease and suggested building the statement around this, rather than listing a wider array of topics he had researched. Together they mapped out a clear arc – starting from his initial interest, moving through his wider reading and experience, and ending with his ambitions for where the degree could take him.

Review Two: once Tomás had produced a full first draft, he and his consultant reconvened for another 45-minute session. The draft came across as enthusiastic but thin on substance, so this round tackled bigger structural and content issues. Tomás was challenged to engage more critically with the material he’d read and to actually demonstrate his scientific reasoning on the page. The balance of the statement also shifted, giving more space went to the science, and less to his extracurricular activities.

Review Three: the revised draft then went through an offline round of tracked edits. The consultant worked on refining content, style, and structure together, ensuring the tone remained academic throughout and avoiding vagueness or ambiguity. Every change came with a detailed explanatory comment -covering things like why particular claims needed to be backed up with evidence, and how to phrase technical material more precisely.

Review Four: a final offline polish that left Tomás with a statement that was ready to submit. This last pass made sure the science was both accurate and clearly explained, that the argument moved logically from point to point, and that the statement left interviewers with obvious openings for follow-up questions – ones Tomás would feel confident tackling.
