Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Tutor Recruitment Coordinator to join our HR team. In this role, you will oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of our tutoring team. You will play a key part in attracting top talent, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience, maintaining compliance with safeguarding practices, and assisting tutors with their day-to-day recruitment and administrative inquiries.
Role Responsibilities
Tutor Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to recruit and retain high-quality tutors.
- Manage job postings, screen applications, and conduct interviews.
- Facilitate and oversee a seamless onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documents, certifications, training and compliance checks are completed and uploaded via the TutorCruncher platform.
- Be accountable for safer recruitment practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tutors, addressing recruitment, onboarding, policies and administrative queries.
- Ensure adherence to safer recruitment practices and maintain accurate tutor records.
- Collaborate with marketing and other teams to run targeted recruitment drives for operational resilience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to support tutor engagement, retention, and pay to optimise delivery quality and profitability.
- Establish a feedback loop to monitor tutor performance and provide resources for maintaining high teaching standards.
Operations:
- Support with event/course tutor arrangements for The Medic Portal/The Lawyer Portal, and other Dukes Consultancy brands
- Assist in coordinating one-to-one support and courses as needed
- Act as platform administrator for tuition delivery
- Track key recruitment metrics and provide reports to leadership
Other Responsibilities:
- Where needed, support customer and tutor services via phone and email
- Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and tasks
- Support occasional events outside of normal working hours as part of team duties (e.g. Premier Day 14.09.25, Residential Course 31.10.25 – 02.11.25).
Experience required
- Experience in recruitment practices such as verifying references, conducting background checks, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, reviewing applications, and conducting phone screenings to identify the most suitable candidates (preferred).
- Strong organisational and communication skills (essential).
- Ability to build relationships and provide excellent support to tutors (essential).
- Confidence in handling difficult conversations with tutors who do not meet compliance expectations (essential).
- Passion for education and a commitment to high-quality tutoring (essential).

Location: Hybrid working: 2 days in our central London office and 3 days from home. If you prefer, you’re welcome to work from the office full-time (5 days a week).
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 (experience dependent)
