Dukes Plus Teachers Programme
Programme Overview and Eligibility Criteria
This programme helps educators prepare students for advanced studies at Oxbridge, medical schools, and U.S. universities. It provides tailored guidance for various educational tracks and aims to develop enduring skills in educators for supporting future students. Available to state-funded schools, priority is given to those with fewer top-tier acceptances, particularly those outside London or in under-resourced areas.
There will be three strands to the programme, covering Oxbridge applications, medical applications and application to US courses. You will be free to apply for all three, or to only those that apply to your circumstances.
The aim of the programme is not only to give you the best advice, training and resources possible to guide your current cohort of students, but to empower you to make a lasting difference long after the programme has ended by giving you the knowledge and skills to support future students navigating the application process.
The programme is open for applications from any state funded school, however we will be prioritising schools:
- Who have had fewer than 3 successful applications to Oxbridge, a medical course or a US study programme in the last 5 years.
- That are outside of London
- That are located in TUNDRA 1 quintile areas. You can look your school up here.
Not every application will be successful this cycle, but we will be running this programme annually so please do reapply if unsuccessful this time. We will need successful applicants to be able to commit to 1 to 2 hours of evening training every other month for each strand you are applying for.
