Our 11 Plus tutors are available for in-person lessons in central London (typically Zones 1-2) or online anywhere in the world.
Some families prefer face-to-face lessons, especially for younger learners. While it is sometimes easier for a child to make a good connection with their tutor in person, in our experience, there is no difference in the results we see from online vs in-person tuition. Our online lessons are delivered by tutors of the same calibre. In fact, one of the benefits of online is that families will have access to the widest range of the best possible tutors, as not all of our exceptional 11 Plus tutors may be available to teach in person in your area.

This is among the most common reasons why families come to us. If you’re aiming for a highly selective school such as JAGS, St Paul’s, Emanuel, Francis Holland, Highgate, City of London, or UCS, then our tutors can help improve your chances. We know the requirements of these leading schools inside-out and have successfully prepared many children for entry to them over the years.
Some schools, especially in the state sector, do not prepare their pupils for the 11+ at all. In this case, it is highly advisable to work with an experienced 11 Plus tutor to familiarise your child with the exam content and format, improve their exam technique, and enhance their skills and knowledge.
Even competitive schools know that not every child will be the perfect all-rounder; however, if your child’s performance in one part of the exam drops below a certain level, they will not be offered a place. Whether your child is a strong mathematician with a weakness in creative writing, or a natural at comprehension who struggles with non-verbal reasoning, our tutors can identify their weak points, fill in knowledge gaps, and help them bring up their performance to a competitive level.
While English and Maths are, of course, taught in all schools, other components of the 11+ exam your child will be taking may not be. We begin with a free consultation in which we discuss your child’s academic level, strengths, weaknesses, and goals. We then personally match them with a tutor who fits their learning preferences and requirements.
We recommend that children begin preparing at least a year in advance. A measured course of tutoring (perhaps 1-2 lessons per week) over a long period will give enough time to improve your child’s skills and get them familiar with the 11 Plus format. This will be far more effective than last-minute cramming. However, if you are beginning your prep with just a few months to spare, we can arrange more intensive courses of prep to improve your child’s chances of admission.
