Our Architecture Summer School
The Young Architect Summer Experience is an exciting two-week programme in London designed for ambitious students aged 15-18 who aspire to a career in architecture.
During the architecture summer school, you will:
– Visit a leading architecture and urban design firm
– Use industry-standard architectural sketching tools
– Design and create 3D building models using professional modelling techniques
– Create a design from a brief under supervision from real architects
You’ll be taught by experienced architects and receive career coaching on university choices and ways into the industry.
Hosted at the UCL campus in London, you’ll also experience what it’s like to study at one of the world’s top universities.

From planning and sketching to modelling and using state-of-the art industry software, our architecture summer school will give you a tour-de-force grounding in the key skills needed to work as an architect. You’ll have the chance to put all your knowledge to practical use when you work on a brief for an innovative, sustainable structure.
By the end of the architecture summer school, you will have designed an innovative, sustainable structure all of your own. You will then have the chance to present your work to a panel of industry experts at a prestigious London venue and receive personal feedback to improve your skills.

This programme is designed for students aged 15-18 who are interested in studying architecture at university or exploring it as a career.
Participants will study architectural design principles, the history of architecture, and practical skills such as drawing and model-making, as well as using industry-standard software. The course also introduces participants to contemporary architectural practices and sustainable design.
Accommodation is available as an optional extra on our architecture summer school. Please select this when booking if required. Students stay in comfortable, modern rooms used by students at UCL and other universities.
Our architecture summer school lasts up to two weeks, starting 27th July 2026. You can choose to book a 1-week or 2-week programme.
The summer school is based on the campus of University College London. Students will also visit a leading architectural firm in London during the course of the programme.
