Question 1 – Answer overfishing.
All other causes for concern are mentioned in the passage. Half a million inhabitants may be forced to flee if sea levels rise. Coral bleaching may put people off visiting to dive and we know that fossil fuels cause global warming which will be a concern for Maldivians as it is stated in the passage. Overfishing, however, is not.
Question 2 – Answer ‘If damaged it could take thousands of years to replace the corals’.
The passage states the coral reefs are formed over millennia. So it is reasonable to assume that it would take thousands of years to replace them. All others are not mentioned or are false, e.g. 30% of GDP comes from tourism not ‘over 1/3rd’.
