Summer Schools in the UK

Our summer schools are collaborative, social, and inspiring – offering the chance to make international friendships, share your ambitions, and learn from others who are just as driven.

Our summer schools offer an academically rigorous learning experience, with 15–25 hours of structured lessons each week, depending on the course chosen.

Teaching is delivered by experienced tutors and subject specialists, and many programmes are enriched by guest speakers and professionals working in students’ intended career fields. This exposure allows students to deepen their subject knowledge while gaining valuable insight into academic pathways and future professions, all within a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

Our career experiences offer students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in their chosen profession. They step directly into the role and take part in immersive career simulations designed to reflect what professionals actually do. For example:

• Young Doctors visit a teaching hospital and take part in a simulated ward round
• Young Lawyers argue a human rights case at the UK Supreme Court
• Young Investment Bankers build an equities portfolio with the guidance of asset managers
• Young Engineers perform an engine teardown under the supervision of automotive professionals

Students finish with a far clearer understanding of whether a career is right for them – before committing at university or beyond.

Our summer schools take place at some of the UK’s leading schools and universities, with locations including:

Students benefit from outstanding on-site facilities – from fully equipped science laboratories and creative art spaces to extensive sports grounds.

Each campus also offers comfortable accommodation and dedicated pastoral support, creating a supportive and stimulating environment in which students can learn, explore, and thrive.

Life beyond the classroom is a key part of the summer school experience, with a dynamic programme of excursions and social activities that makes full use of our exceptional campus settings.

Excursions may include trips to London, a guided tour of the University of Oxford, or subject-specific site visits that bring learning to life – for example, students on our politics summer school visit the Houses of Parliament. These experiences help students connect their academic interests with the world beyond the campus and gain a deeper understanding of their chosen fields.

Back on site, students benefit from their campus’s outstanding facilities for a varied social programme. Evenings and free time are filled with sports, creative arts, quizzes, film nights, karaoke, and more, offering plenty of opportunities to relax, socialise, and form lasting friendships with peers from around the world.

We also scored 100% in our latest British Council inspection – awarded strengths in all 15 out of 15 areas inspected.

Students have 15-25 hours of lessons per week with exceptional tutors and guest experts, depending on the programme. Teaching takes place in a mixture of immersive projects, seminars, workshops, and classroom lessons.

Throughout our summer schools, students have regular opportunities to strengthen their English language skills. Whether they’re delivering a presentation to their peers and tutors or writing a research paper, they’ll build their confidence and ability in English.

Our summer schools include exciting and enriching excursions to some of the UK’s top landmarks and cultural attractions. Excursions vary by programme and campus, but may include a tour of Oxford, visits to London, or a day out at Thorpe Park. All students are supervised during their excursions.

The exception are our career experiences: these includes site visits to professional locations for each career, but not cultural excursions.

Our summer schools include a packed programme of social activities and access to the outstanding facilities on their campus. From indoor sports to football, karaoke to film nights, our social programme is the perfect chance to relax after a day’s work.

Accommodation and meals are included within the course fee on our most of our summer schools.

The exception is our career experiences, where accommodation is available as an optional extra.

Students stay in comfortable, modern bedrooms – most children share with a few others in bright and spacious dormitories, while on some campuses older children may have their own room.
