Week 1

Pre-Production: Enter the Writers’ Room

On Set: Producing, Directing and Filming

Plan and Shoot a Music Video

• Collaborate on song choice, storyboard and shot list to create a music video
• Film and edit using professional techniques in cuts, transitions, colour and sound

Short Form Content and Marketing

• Create an advertisement for a fictional product using research-driven storytelling
• Plan, shoot and edit short-form content with virtual production technology
• Join a live Q&A with production technicians behind film and advertising projects

Experience Live Broadcasting at a TV Studio

• Work behind the scenes in a live television studio across roles such as presenting, directing and camera work
• Learn to plan, rehearse and deliver a professional live broadcast under studio conditions

Accommodation location
Students live on university campus in central London and are allocated to halls of residence used by University of London students, including those from UCL and LSE. We typically occupy a range of halls, including Garden Halls, College Hall, International Hall and Frances Gardner House.

All rooms are single and en-suite.
