The Oxford Summit – Economic Recovery Strategy
In the first week, students act as economic advisers tasked with drafting a recovery plan for a country facing financial crisis. They might propose measures to stabilise prices, support small businesses, or encourage investment. The plan must balance immediate relief with long-term growth.
At the Oxford Summit showcase, students present their strategy as if briefing world leaders — clearly explaining the issue, outlining their proposed actions, and defending their decisions with evidence and sound reasoning.
The Oxford Summit – Interdisciplinary Grand Challenge
In week two, business students join forces with peers from Medicine, Law, and Global Leadership. Together, they form a cross-disciplinary team tackling a global issue too complex for one field alone. Business students contribute economic strategy — how resources are allocated, how industries adapt, and which policies could enable progress.
The final plan is presented at the Oxford Global Solutions Forum, where each discipline speaks in turn, combining their perspectives into one coherent, forward-thinking solution.
