Kaushik spent 12 years in the asset management industry as a Portfolio Manager overseeing a book of equities worth $200m. Having studied hundreds of businesses over his time in the hedge fund industry, he is now using the skills gained to pursue a build and roll-up strategy involving high cashflow companies.

Modesta is an Associate at Goldman Sachs, in Commodities Trading. She studied Quantitative Methods at UCL and during her time here completed spring weeks/internships at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Man Group and VCMT. Prior to university, she also completed a placement year at Schroders.

On our finance summer school, you’ll receive an incredible induction into the world of investment banking – through challenges, career simulations, and coaching from seasoned professionals.
Learn how financial markets move, how news affects prices, and how traders make decisions. You’ll put this into practice through live trading challenges and portfolio-building exercises across equities, FX, commodities, and bonds.
Explore how professionals approach M&A, IPOs, venture capital, and private equity. You’ll learn how businesses are valued, how deals are structured, and what investors look for when assessing opportunities.

A Recognised Certificate of Achievement
After graduation, every student can earn a personalised digital certificate recognising their achievement to use on their UCAS applications.
Students who attend a 2-Week Summer Experience will also receive an industry reference letter, signed by professionals, outlining what they have achieved over the course of the programme.
We can also be included in the UCAS extra activities section, and we are an approved provider for the Gold Residential section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Earn UCAS Points for Your University Application
Students who complete the 2-Week or 2-Week Enhanced programme will have the chance to earn a Level 3 Work Experience qualification, worth 8 UCAS points – a boost for UK university applications.

Our finance summer school is a 1- to 2-week programme for students aged 15-18. It is based at University College London with site visits to professional banking locations elsewhere in London.
Participants will gain insights into investment banking, including live trading on the London stock market, simulated mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, and building their own equities portfolio under the guidance of senior asset managers.

Yes, we offer a residential option for those who need it, including accommodation, meals, guardianship, and social activities.
We offer 24/7 safeguarding for our residential students, including pastoral support and a dedicated house parent.

To secure your place, you can choose to make the whole payment upfront or pay a deposit of £950, with the remainder of the payment taken nearer the programme start date.

Absolutely. Around half of our students are from the UK or US, with the other half from other countries around the world. We have welcomed students from 100 nationalities and are proud to have a global student community.
Yes. About half of our students attend as day students. The programme content is exactly the same for day and residential attendees.
We do not have an application process. Bookings for our finance summer school are taken on a first come, first served basis.
No. We do not expect any of our students to have any prior knowledge, simply a keen interest in finance and investment banking!
We introduce each topic at an introductory level, with guidance from our industry professionals. There are also opportunities to work towards more advanced concepts where students feel comfortable.
