A leading US university consultant, Mariel brings extensive experience from senior admissions roles at leading US and UK institutions. She spent six years in the undergraduate admissions office at Princeton University, ultimately serving as Associate Dean of Admission, where she led a team responsible for recruiting and assessing international applicants.
She has also worked closely with highly selective professional schools worldwide, including senior admissions roles at Oxford Saïd Business School, as well as positions at the University of Washington School of Medicine and at Columbia University within both the Earth Institute and the Business School.
Mariel holds a BA in Government and French Studies from Smith College and an MPhil in American Studies from Columbia University. She is deeply committed to helping students identify the universities where they will thrive. Outside of admissions work, she enjoys pottery, hiking with her husband, and reading novels – when she is not thinking about what makes an outstanding application essay.
