A highly versatile US admissions advisor and tutor, Charlotte began her own US university journey by preparing for the SATs and navigating the American admissions system, ultimately securing offers from four Ivy League universities. She joined Dukes Plus in 2016, motivated by a strong belief that no student should have to manage this complex process alone. Originally from Glasgow, Charlotte completed her Bachelor of Arts in History and Literature at Harvard University in 2015.

Charlotte is an experienced advisor with a particular talent for helping students identify the right programmes and courses from a global field of options. She supports students at every stage of the admissions process, from university selection and summer programme planning to essay development and interview preparation. As a tutor, she specialises in SAT and ACT preparation, with particular strengths in critical reading and writing. Beyond test preparation, Charlotte works closely with students as a mentor and critical reading and writing specialist, helping them develop the organisational and analytical skills needed to become confident, well-rounded learners. She has applied this expertise in both one-to-one tuition and classroom settings, leading Dukes Plus in-school programmes at Westminster, Wellington, and Sevenoaks.

Charlotte is deeply committed to tailoring her teaching to each individual student, continually refining her approaches to meet learners at different stages of their journey. She regularly supports neurodiverse students and prioritises collaborative, personalised teaching plans developed with both students and parents, designed to meet academic goals, accommodate scheduling needs, and strengthen engagement with learning.

In 2019, Charlotte joined the Dukes Plus Academic Team, where she helps manage and develop the tutor cohort and leads academic product development, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of educational provision.

During her time at Harvard, Charlotte served as Business Director for Harvard Model United Nations and was awarded the Franklin D Roosevelt Global Fellowship, the Harold Bolitho Undergraduate Research Scholarship in Australian Studies, and the Seven Sisters College Conference Book Award for essay writing. Alongside her academic work, she is a professional opera singer, director, and producer, with experience at the National Opera Center, American Repertory Theater, and the West End’s Peacock Theatre, as well as recording for BBC One, Radio 2, and Radio 4. She is also the founder and Artistic Director of New Voices Theatre, a company dedicated to staging theatrical works by women.
