Time to Shine Projects
Apply your learning through collaborative ‘Time to Shine’ projects that challenge you to think critically, innovate, and present your ideas with confidence. The week concludes with a presentation ceremony where you and your peers showcase your solutions to real-world challenges.

Excursions
Take part in inspiring excursions designed to expand your global awareness and cultural understanding. You’ll visit destinations such as Thorpe Park, London, and Oxford, gaining new perspectives and making lasting memories along the way.

Social Programme & Excursions
Enjoy a vibrant mix of sports, arts, and team-building activities designed to encourage creativity and connection. From football, basketball, and tennis to arts and crafts, off-site bowling, talent shows, and secret cinema, every week offers new ways to have fun, make friends, and build confidence.

Develop English Language Skills
Throughout the programme, you’ll strengthen your English communication skills — building leadership vocabulary, practising persuasive speaking, and developing confidence in delivering presentations such as your Time to Shine project.

End-of-Course Report and Certificate
At the end of the course, you’ll receive a personalised report and a certificate of achievement. These documents recognise your effort, progress, and contributions, with detailed feedback from your tutors on your academic and personal development — valuable assets for your future studies and leadership journey.

Mission 2035 — Innovate Under Pressure

Mission 2035 places students at the centre of a global response taskforce. Throughout the week, you’ll step into scenarios shaped by urgent global challenges — cyberattacks, energy shortages, pandemics, and climate disasters — and work collaboratively to design solutions that could keep communities functioning in moments of crisis.

At the Mission 2035 showcase, Future Global Leaders take the stage as a government facing the press. Each taskforce delivers a briefing on how they will respond to a sudden crisis — from a cyberattack to a pandemic. The briefing must be structured, confident, and authoritative, with students stepping into the role of ministers who must reassure the public and demonstrate control of the situation.

Respond to a National Cyberattack

In the first week, students develop a three-step plan to respond to a major cyberattack threatening national security. They outline immediate actions to restore systems, short-term strategies to maintain stability, and long-term reforms to improve resilience. The plan is then delivered as a live press briefing, requiring eloquence, confidence, and composure under pressure.

Manage a Global Health Emergency

In the second week, teams prepare a response to a global health crisis. Their strategy addresses containment, medical support, and international cooperation. The showcase task is to defend the plan before an audience, demonstrating how strong leadership communicates urgency while remaining calm, clear, and decisive.

Understanding Global Systems
Gain a solid foundation in politics and international relations by exploring how nations, organisations, and communities interact. You’ll examine the systems and institutions that shape global decision-making and consider how these influence everyday lives around the world.

Developing Leadership Skills
Discover what makes an effective leader through theory and practice. You’ll explore leadership styles and put them into action in simulations and group challenges — learning how to guide discussions, make confident decisions under pressure, and inspire collaboration.

Practising Debate and Diplomacy
Refine your ability to argue, negotiate, and persuade with clarity and respect. Through debates and model diplomacy exercises, you’ll learn to present your ideas convincingly, respond thoughtfully to differing opinions, and find compromise without losing conviction.

Applying Knowledge to Real Issues
Investigate real-world global challenges — from climate change and human rights to international security. Using case studies, you’ll connect theory to practice, developing the insight and problem-solving skills needed to approach complex issues like a future global leader.

Module 1: Politics and Governance
Explore the foundations of political systems and how societies are organised and governed. You’ll study the roles of parliaments, presidents, and prime ministers, examining how their decisions shape people’s lives. Through real-world case studies, you’ll compare political ideologies, analyse systems of power, and debate the effectiveness of different leadership approaches. By the end of this module, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how political decisions are made and how individuals can influence meaningful change.

Module 2: International Relations
Step into the complex world of diplomacy and global cooperation. This module investigates how nations collaborate, where tensions arise, and why diplomacy is essential in addressing global challenges. You’ll explore key issues such as climate policy, security, and migration, alongside the roles of major international organisations like the UN and NATO. Through treaty analysis, negotiation simulations, and crisis-response exercises, you’ll develop an understanding of how interconnected our world is — and how global decisions shape our collective future.

Module 3: Leadership in Practice
Put your leadership skills to the test in practical, scenario-based challenges. You’ll learn how to guide a team, communicate effectively, and make confident decisions under pressure. Through debates, public speaking, and group projects, you’ll explore different leadership styles and reflect on your personal strengths. This module equips you with the confidence, empathy, and strategic thinking needed to lead with purpose and inspire others.
