Future Global Leaders – Canford
Future Global Leaders is a two-week programme for students aged 11–16 who want to explore politics, international relations and leadership. You’ll discover how governments work, how decisions shape countries and global affairs, and how organisations respond to conflict and cooperation.
Through case studies and simulations, you’ll debate issues, negotiate in teams and present your own ideas. Leadership is central — you’ll develop skills in communication, negotiation and collaboration, learning how to listen, persuade and work towards shared goals.
Taught by educators with experience in politics and international relations, the programme helps you understand how the world operates and gives you the confidence to take part in it — as a student leader today and a future decision-maker tomorrow.

FAQs
This summer school takes place at Canford School, a prestigious and picturesque boarding school in Dorset, in the south of England.
This course is ideal for students aged 11–16 who are curious about politics, international relations, and leadership. Whether you’re already interested in global affairs or just starting to explore these topics, the programme is designed to develop your confidence, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Students explore how governments work, how international organisations respond to global challenges, and what makes an effective leader. Lessons are supported by debates, simulations, and group projects, allowing students to apply ideas in practical, engaging ways.
A minimum English level of A1 (beginner) is required. Our teachers are experienced in supporting students from a range of language backgrounds, and lessons are designed to help students build confidence in both subject knowledge and communication.
The programme fee includes tuition, accommodation, all meals, activities, course materials, and a final certificate with a personalised academic report.
Classes are kept small — with a maximum of 15 students — to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate, share ideas, and receive personalised feedback from their teachers.
No previous experience is required. The course is designed to be accessible for beginners while still challenging students who already have an interest in global issues or leadership. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to take part.
