The Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) is a crucial part of the admissions process for applicants to Oxford’s physics, engineering, and materials science courses. For the best results, we recommend starting PAT preparation at least three months before the exam. This timeframe allows for thorough coverage of all required physics and maths concepts, as well as sufficient time to develop test-taking strategies and refine problem-solving skills. However, if you have less time to prepare, our PAT tutors can still make a big difference to your performance – our average student improves their score by 20% after just 4 hours of tutoring.
