English Language Development
Develop your English throughout the programme, from building subject-specific vocabulary to improving your speaking skills for your Time To Shine presentation.

Shaping Tomorrow — Global Forum

Shaping Tomorrow transforms the school into a global conference where every student has a platform. Throughout the week, you’ll step into the role of a future thought-leader, developing ideas that could shape how communities live, work, and grow in the years ahead.

The conference concludes with a sustainability showcase. Each group presents a working model or live demonstration, unveiling their idea as if addressing an international audience. The challenge is to demonstrate how the project functions while clearly explaining why it matters — connecting scientific understanding with global responsibility.

Design a Renewable Energy Innovation

In the first week, students design and demonstrate a small-scale renewable energy system. This might be a solar-powered device, a miniature turbine, or a hybrid design that combines several energy sources. The focus is on how energy is captured, stored, and distributed — and how the model could help build a more sustainable future if developed at scale.

Develop a Model for Sustainable Resource Use

The second project challenges students to improve how food, water, or materials are managed. Ideas may include hydroponic farming systems, water-filtration solutions, or creative methods of reducing and reusing waste. Groups present their model in action, showing clearly how it works and why it offers a meaningful step toward more sustainable living.

Module 1: Foundations of Sustainability in Science and Technology
This module introduces the scientific principles behind sustainability. You will study energy, materials and ecosystems, and explore how technology can reduce environmental impact. Case studies highlight practical projects in renewable energy and sustainable design, giving you a framework for thinking about long-term solutions.

Module 2: Innovation and Applied Technology
In this module, you will focus on the role of innovation in addressing global challenges. You will learn how to design and test simple prototypes, apply engineering principles, and evaluate how technology can be adapted for sustainable use. Practical workshops allow you to experiment with models and demonstrate how scientific ideas can become workable solutions.

Module 3: Global Challenges and Future Solutions
This module explores how science and technology respond to issues such as climate change, food security and resource management. Working in groups, you will research a sustainability challenge, design a project to address it, and present your findings. The module develops both subject knowledge and the communication skills needed to convey complex ideas clearly.
