Practising Debate and Diplomacy

Through debates and model diplomacy exercises, you’ll refine your argumentation and negotiation skills, developing the balance between confidence, tact, and empathy that defines successful diplomacy.

Applying Knowledge to Real Issues
Explore pressing global challenges — from climate change and international conflict to economic inequality and global health. By analysing case studies, you’ll connect theory with action, developing the insight and creativity needed to propose realistic, impactful solutions as a future global leader.

Module 1: Politics and Governance
Explore the foundations of political systems and how societies are organised and led. You’ll study the roles of parliaments, presidents, and prime ministers, analysing how their decisions shape communities and influence everyday life. Through real-world case studies, you’ll compare political ideologies, evaluate systems of governance, and debate the effectiveness of different leadership models. By the end of the module, you’ll understand how power operates and how individuals can drive political and social change.

Module 2: International Relations
Delve into the world of diplomacy, cooperation, and global affairs. This module examines how countries collaborate, where conflicts emerge, and why negotiation and compromise are essential to global stability. You’ll explore contemporary challenges such as climate change, migration, and international security, while studying the work of organisations like the United Nations and NATO. Through simulations, treaty analysis, and negotiation exercises, you’ll develop a practical understanding of how international decisions shape the world.

Module 3: Leadership in Practice
Translate leadership theory into real action through practical, scenario-based activities. You’ll learn how to communicate effectively, manage teams, and make thoughtful decisions under pressure. Engaging in group challenges, debates, and public speaking sessions, you’ll explore different leadership styles and discover your own strengths. This module empowers you to lead with confidence, empathy, and integrity — key qualities of a true global changemaker.
