FAQs

This summer school takes place at Dukes Cambridge, our summer school campus in the heart of Cambridge.

You’ll explore key areas of psychology including cognition, development, social behaviour and mental health. The course also includes designing and running your own experiment, collecting data and presenting findings.

Students will build critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity — skills essential across higher education, future study and a range of careers.

Lessons combine theory with practical work: interactive lectures, experiments, data analysis, group research projects and a final “Time to Shine” presentation focused on a mental-health awareness campaign.

No previous specialist knowledge is required. A curiosity about human behaviour and a willingness to engage in lesson discussions and research tasks are all you need.

By the end of the course, students gain a foundational understanding of psychology, experience working with research methods, and a certificate of completion. These advantages support university applications, scholarship essays and broaden horizons for careers in psychology, research, health or business.
