The report includes constructive feedback from tutors, while the certificate stands as formal recognition of your effort and growth — valuable for future studies and applications.

The Newsroom Showcase — Broadcasting on a Global Crisis

English Adventurers present a full news broadcast, live to an audience of their peers and tutors, reporting on a global crisis — and the solutions being developed. Anchors guide the programme, correspondents report from the “field,” and interview segments reveal different viewpoints. The performance gives students the chance to use English confidently in a dynamic public setting, with the audience watching events unfold as if tuning in to a real news channel.

Deliver a Breaking News Bulletin

In the first week, students write and deliver a breaking news bulletin. They script headlines and short reports, then present them live with clear pacing and confident delivery. The bulletin introduces the global crisis and prepares the audience for the solutions that follow.

Produce a Feature Story or Interview

In the second week, students produce a feature story or interview segment exploring a proposed solution in depth. Teams might role-play an interview with a scientist, community leader, or entrepreneur, asking insightful questions and giving clear, well-reasoned answers. The goal is to use descriptive and persuasive language to make the broadcast feel authentic and compelling.

Confident Communication
Develop fluency and confidence through engaging discussions, role plays, and short presentations. You’ll learn to express your ideas clearly and naturally, improving your pace, tone, and pronunciation in everyday and academic contexts.

Reading and Writing Skills
Enhance your comprehension of texts such as articles, stories, and reports, and practise writing for different audiences and purposes. You’ll focus on accuracy, style, and structure to produce clear, engaging, and effective written work.

Practical Application
Take your English learning beyond the classroom by using it in authentic, practical contexts. From conducting interviews to collaborating on projects, you’ll gain confidence communicating effectively in real-life situations.

Cultural Understanding
Discover how language reflects culture, identity, and perspective. You’ll explore global communication styles and learn how to adapt your English in international environments with sensitivity and awareness.

Module 1: Communication in Action
Enhance your speaking and listening skills through lively debates, interactive role-plays, and real-world communication tasks. You’ll learn to express your ideas clearly, respond confidently, and adapt your language for different situations — from everyday conversations to formal discussions.

Module 2: Language for Exploration

You’ll experiment with storytelling, article writing, and reflective pieces, expanding your vocabulary while learning how English is used to inform, inspire, and connect.

Module 3: English Beyond the Classroom
Bring your English learning to life through fieldwork, interviews, and group projects on campus and in the city. These hands-on experiences turn language into a tool for exploration, helping you build fluency, confidence, and real-world communication skills.
